Plan G with the Innovative Discount Rider, you must meet an annual Plan Deductible before the plan pays anything (except preventive benefits) each year. This deductible automatically goes away January 1, following your third calendar year in which your policy is in force. If you drop the Innovative Discount Rider before year three your premium amount becomes the Plan G premium amount.
Plan G with the Innovative Discount Rider pays the same benefits as Plan G after you have paid a calendar year $2,800 deductible (except preventive benefits). Benefits will not begin until your out-of-pocket expenses are $2,800. This is for the plan deductible in 2024. This amount may increase each year. This includes the Medicare deductibles for Part A and Part B, but does not include the plan’s separate foreign travel emergency deductible. If you have the Preventive Benefits Plus Rider, preventive benefits will be paid prior to the deductible being met.
If you purchase the Preventive Benefits Plus Rider, preventive health care expenses incurred by you for health care services to prevent or detect illness at an early stage, prior to the development of any symptoms, are subject to exclusions.
Plan: Plan G
Best if: You want broad coverage , but don't mind paying the Part B Deductible .
Best if: You're on a fixed income and like to budget your expenses. With Plan G, you can plan ahead knowing all you have to pay is your premium and Part B annual deductible for Medicare-approved charges.
If you purchase the Preventive Benefits Plus Rider, preventive health care expenses incurred by you for health care services to prevent or detect illness at an early stage, prior to the development of any symptoms, are subject to exclusions.
