Change Healthcare Cybersecurity Incident

Preauthorization is not required. However, for Dental benefits, pretreatment estimates are recommended.
Update - Claims can now be filed using iEDI using same Provider ID. If the claim cannot be filed electronically through the normal process, claims can be filed manually. Simply go to the Provider Portal and select “Submit Claim”. Or, claims can be mailed to:

Update – on August 13, all uncashed paper checks/drafts were voided and reissued via ECHO.

Update – As of April 22nd, payments are now being processed at ECHO. We will be working through the backlog over the next ten days. Paper checks may have already been mailed for some claims.

The disruption of service at Change Healthcare has impacted the delivery of claim payments. Physicians Mutual continues to process all claims received. We are mailing drafts and paper EOPs for previous and current claims at this time. You may receive multiple drafts and EOPs over the coming weeks as backlogs are worked. We are also working with vendors to resume electronic payments and EOPs and plan to transition to those vendors in the near future.
