Medicare was never meant to cover all your health care costs … and no one wants to spend retirement worrying about medical bills. That's where Physicians Mutual can help. Our Medicare Supplement plans pay in addition to your Medicare benefits so you can use your savings for retirement, not medical bills.
To help determine the amount and type of coverage you need, there are a few questions to think about:
- How often do you go to the doctor or hospital?
- Is it worth it to you to have a higher deductible in exchange for lower premiums?
- Would you prefer a plan with a higher premium, but offers more coverage?
Use the chart below to determine the plan that best meets your needs:

|You only want basic benefits and can afford to pay more medical bills||You want the most coverage to help lower your out-of-pocket costs on medical bills||You want broad coverage, but don't mind paying the annual Part B deductible||You're healthy and want low premiums in exchange for a yearly plan deductible|
*High Deductible Plan F with $2,300 Deductible pays the same benefits as Plan F after you have paid a calendar year $2,300 deductible. Benefits will not begin until your out-of-pocket expenses are $2,300. This is for the plan deductible in 2019. This amount may increase each year. This includes the Medicare deductibles for Part A and Part B, but does not include the plan's separate foreign travel emergency deductible.
