Peach, Strawberry, and Cottage Cheese Protein Smoothie

Whip up this super smoothie for breakfast or after a workout. This four-fruit blended drink tastes like a creamy milkshake and provides your body with protein, calcium and vitamins for a healthy start to your day or a pick-me-up snack in the afternoon.

Ingredients

10 ice cubes
16 ounces low-fat cottage cheese (lowest sodium available)
10 ounces unsweetened, frozen, sliced peaches
OR
2 cups peeled and sliced peaches (3 to 4 medium peaches)
10 ounces unsweetened, frozen, sliced strawberries
OR
1 1/4 cups sliced strawberries (hulled)
1/2 cup fresh orange juice or juice from 1 medium orange
1/2 cup fat-free milk
1 medium banana
2 tablespoons honey

Directions

  1. In a food processor or blender, process all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.

Quick Tips

Cooking Tip: If using a small blender, process after adding the milk, allowing room for the remaining ingredients. Continue as directed.

Tip: Store any remaining servings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
