What is a waiting period?

A waiting period is the amount of time you must wait before you can receive coverage for certain treatments or services. We do this to help lower your monthly premium cost.

With this dental insurance, there are no waiting periods for preventive and basic care and a 12-month waiting period for major care. See our list of covered procedures to see which services are considered preventive, basic and major.
